I hold a Master Black Belt (MBB) and PMP certification, along with an MS in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Virginia Tech and an MBA from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business.     Essentials covers all 14 core sessions — the practical tools and frameworks you'll use on real projects. Mastery adds the advanced statistical content required for Green Belt and Black Belt certification exams, plus an accredited exam discount. Most people start with Essentials; Mastery is for those pursuing formal certification. Unlike many programs that charge separately for Green Belt and Black Belt training, Mastery covers both in a single add-on to Essentials.

  • Do I need a Lean, Six Sigma or any other Continuous Improvement background to start?

    No. The program is built for both newcomers and experienced practitioners — start with the free Intro session to see if the teaching style and pace are right for you before purchasing anything.

  • How long will the course take?

    Essentials includes 14 sessions, self-paced — most students complete it in 4-8 weeks depending on your schedule. There's no deadline; you keep access and move at your own pace. Mastery adds approximately 6 hours of advanced content, delivered through a mix of live and recorded weekly sessions.

  • Will I be certified after the training?

    Essentials builds the practical skills. Mastery is the certification path — it covers everything on the Six Sigma Council's Green Belt and Black Belt exam content, plus a 20% discount on the GB exam fee. Note that OEA doesn't administer the certification exam itself; that's handled directly through the Six Sigma Council.

  • How can I get support during training?

    All paid programs — from individual phase packages to the full Essentials Bundle — include access to weekly office hours, so you always have a way to get your questions answered live. If you want dedicated 1-on-1 support on your own project instead, the Coaching add-on pairs you directly with the founder.
